Overnight Nintendo cut the price of the 3DS by 32%. Dropping the price from $250 to a highly affordable $170. This is undoubted in reaction to sluggish sales and the cancellation or delay of lots of games. It's not a total bust for early adopters, who will receive 20 free downloadable games consisting of 10 NES and 10 GBA games. If this gamble pays off and the 3DS is widely adopted and developers begin to support the hardware with worthwhile games, Nintendo could have another winner this handheld generation.
